Country Logistics Officer – Pemba

About the role

Acted is seeking a Country Logistics Officer to support its operations in Pemba, Mozambique. The role assists the Country Logistics Manager in ensuring that supply chain and transversal logistics functions run smoothly, efficiently and in compliance with donor and national regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Support timely, cost‑effective and transparent supply‑chain management, including procurement, stock control and delivery traceability.
• Oversee fleet and transportation, fuel usage, asset registers, premises upkeep and communications/IT logistics.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with Acted policies, donor requirements and local regulations, promoting value‑for‑money principles.
• Provide technical support and capacity‑building to logistics staff across the country.
• Act as the Country Logistics Manager’s deputy and step in during their absence.

Required profile

• Experience in humanitarian or development logistics with a strong climate and environmental awareness.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, able to identify opportunities, adapt approaches and take measured risks.
• Balance of principles and pragmatism, with humility and ambition.
