Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of plant equipment by performing installation, repair, preventive and predictive maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve breakdowns of LV‑MV motors, switchboards, MCCs, transformers, UPS, VFDs, breakers and soft starters.
• Carry out planned preventive and predictive maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
• Order spare parts via SAP and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Inspect equipment, identify abnormalities, replace faulty components and test systems before returning to service.
• Provide technical guidance to junior electricians, trainees and contractors.
• Participate in 5S, safety and continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance EHS performance.

Required profile

• Diploma in an electrical or related field and completion of PEC Craft Training.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in electrical maintenance within a heavy‑industry environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals and instructions.

Required skills

• Maintenance of LV‑MV motors, LV switchboards, MCCs, plant lighting, transformers, UPS, VFDs, breakers and soft starters.
• Proficiency with SAP or similar computerized maintenance management systems.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and fault‑diagnosis capabilities.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Familiarity with standard maintenance tools and basic IT applications.
