Environmental Manager – Mozambique LNG Project

About the role

Saipem is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead the environmental and sustainability program for the Mozambique LNG project. Based in Afungi, you will ensure compliance with local regulations and Saipem’s integrated HSE system while supporting the project's engineering, procurement, and construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance to on‑site environmental teams and ensure implementation of the environmental program.
• Monitor compliance with all applicable environmental laws and Saipem HSE requirements.
• Communicate environmental policies and procedures to the workforce and supervise inspections and audits.
• Assist in obtaining licences and permits, and approve subcontractor site‑clearance activities.
• Manage environmental consultants, report incidents, and drive corrective actions.
• Update the legal register and contribute to environmental awareness training.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Ecology, Biology or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental management within large‑scale energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permit processes.
• Ability to work on‑site in Mozambique and collaborate with senior management.
