Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliable operation of plant machinery and equipment. The role involves performing installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns, executing corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
• Select appropriate tools, equipment and spare parts using the SAP maintenance system and maintain accurate work records.
• Monitor recurring failures, propose and implement modifications to improve equipment reliability.
• Carry out welding, fabrication and assembly of worn or damaged components.
• Mentor newly hired mechanics and share plant‑specific knowledge.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, suggestion schemes and hazard reporting.
• Support other departments with equipment troubleshooting and repair.

Required profile

• Diploma in a relevant technical field and completion of PEC Craft Training.
• Minimum three years of mechanical maintenance experience in a heavy‑industry environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals and instructions.

Required skills
