Mission Support Supervisor (Beira)

About the role

The Mission Support Supervisor will work under the Area Mission Support Manager to ensure the mission’s facilities and properties are well maintained, safe, and aligned with operational standards. This onsite role in Beira involves supervising staff, coordinating maintenance projects, and supporting mission leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Mission Support Manager with all matters related to existing mission facilities and properties.
• Prevent building deterioration and extend building life through proper operations and maintenance processes.
• Coordinate and report on facility needs, ensuring timely resolution.
• Supervise mission home attendant and mission driver, handling hiring, performance reviews, and employee status changes in partnership with HR.
• Negotiate apartment leases, renewals, and closures.
• Scope, manage, and oversee building maintenance projects, assigning work to vendors and monitoring cost, quality, and timeliness.
• Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with approved standards.
• Maintain inventory of Church‑owned furnishings and manage disposal of excess or unserviceable items.
• Foster strong relationships with mission leaders, missionaries, employees, and vendors.

Required profile

• Current, valid temple recommend or eligibility to hold one.
• Three‑year National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
• At least two years of experience in facilities/property management, construction procedures, business practices, and safety/fire codes.
• Experience in front‑line management within a multi‑disciplinary environment.
• Professional communication skills for interaction with mission leaders, contractors, and vendors.
