Partnerships and Business Development Manager

About the role

Ipas Mozambique is seeking a Partnerships and Business Development Manager to lead resource mobilization, partnership building, and business development activities in line with the country strategic plan and donor priorities. Reporting to the Country Director and serving on the senior leadership team, the manager will shape the organization’s funding strategy and strengthen its external relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct an organizational review of risks and opportunities in the funding landscape and develop a strategic business development plan.
• Identify, pursue, and secure funding from bilateral and multilateral donors, foundations, corporate partners, and philanthropies.
• Track donor trends, funding opportunities, and RFPs relevant to sexual and reproductive health and rights.
• Lead end‑to‑end proposal development, including concept notes, full proposals, budgets, and donor negotiations.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality, compliant proposals.
• Collaborate with communications to produce donor‑facing materials such as briefs, presentations, and reports.
• Develop and maintain donor cultivation and stewardship plans.
• Establish and manage strategic partnerships that advance Ipas Mozambique’s mission.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading resource mobilization, fundraising, and partnership initiatives in the non‑profit sector.
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong understanding of the SRHR funding environment and donor landscape.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for proposal writing and donor engagement.
