Content Moderator – Trust & Safety Specialist (Remote)

About the role

The Content Moderator – Trust & Safety Specialist ensures that user‑generated content on our platform complies with policies, legal standards, and community expectations. Working remotely, you will protect users by reviewing text, images, and videos, and by acting on high‑priority and edge‑case items that require human judgment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and act on reported content (text, images, videos) to enforce platform guidelines.
• Monitor daily queues, identify emerging abuse patterns, and promptly escalate to the Policy team.
• Provide feedback on moderation tool efficiency and suggest workflow improvements.
• Maintain a high accuracy rate (95%+) on moderation decisions.
• Participate in calibration sessions to ensure consistent policy application.
• Investigate removal or suspension cases and make fair reinstatement determinations.
• Serve as a designated responder during “red‑alert” incidents such as graphic live streams or coordinated harassment campaigns.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in content moderation, trust & safety, or community management for a major tech/social media platform.
• Strong emotional resilience and ability to review disturbing content without compromising well‑being.
• Deep understanding of regional cultural nuances and the ability to differentiate hate speech from protected speech.
• Proven track record of maintaining quality metrics while processing high volumes (80‑100+ items per hour).
• Attention to detail and ability to stay focused on repetitive tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with moderation tools such as Hive, Besedo, and Salesforce.
• Experience using Google Workspace.
