Field Coordinator (M/F) – Pemba

About the role

Solidarités International is seeking a Field Coordinator (M/F) to lead its humanitarian operations in Pemba, Mozambique. The role will oversee the implementation of multi‑sectoral programmes, ensuring that assistance reaches vulnerable populations affected by conflict and natural disasters.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise field activities across the northern districts, including WASH, food security, livelihoods and shelter/NFI interventions.
• Manage relationships with donors such as ECHO, SDC, CDCS, OCHA, IFSAN and UNICEF, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
• Monitor security developments and adapt operational plans to maintain staff safety and program continuity.
• Support the preparation of operational budgets, resource allocation and logistical arrangements.
• Collaborate with the Coordination office in Pemba and other bases (Mueda, Mocímboa da Praia) to ensure coherent programme delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in humanitarian field coordination or program management.
• Demonstrated ability to work in insecure environments and adapt to rapidly changing contexts.
• Strong understanding of WASH, food security, livelihoods and shelter sectors.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage.
