S&I Coordinator

About the role

The S&I Coordinator leads Seminary and Institute programs within an assigned geographic area, guiding youth and young adults in their spiritual growth. This people‑manager position blends teaching, resource management, and community building to deepen conversion to Jesus Christ.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with area/region directors, stake leaders, and teachers to set goals and increase youth participation in seminary and institute.
• Improve and assess the learning experience for all students, including those with disabilities.
• Develop stake teachers through monthly discussions, micro‑training, observations, feedback, and resources.
• Prepare and oversee the annual program operating budget, monitor financial performance, and protect church assets.
• Adapt curriculum and create pacing guides to meet local needs.
• Teach S&I classes as required, following the Savior’s way.
• Maintain a Christ‑like culture of unity, improvement, and accountability.
• Supervise full‑time, part‑time, and volunteer staff; collaborate with HR on hiring and promotion decisions.
• Participate in regional training, manage program operations, reports, and resources, and travel as needed.

Required profile

• Current, valid Temple Recommend and adherence to Church teachings on marriage and family.
• Strong personal testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Preferred Master’s degree; Bachelor’s degree (ideally in education) with at least five years of classroom teaching experience.
• Management experience within an educational environment.
• Mid‑level understanding of curriculum development, budgeting, and staff supervision.
