Site HSE Manager – Mozambique LNG Project

About the role

The Site HSE Manager will lead Health, Safety, Environment and Emergency Response for the Mozambique LNG Project, ensuring safe construction and hand‑over to operations. Reporting to the site leadership team, you will be a key member of the Site Emergency Management Team.

Key responsibilities

• Own operational HSE performance across the on‑shore LNG facilities during construction and transition to operations.
• Coordinate with all departments and EPC contractors to deliver the project safely, on‑time and within budget.
• Champion a strong HSE culture, promote Stop Work Authority and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Provide oversight of emergency response, environmental protection and occupational health functions.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations and corrective action tracking.
• Develop, motivate and manage the site HSE team, fostering professional growth.
• Conduct regular site inspections, verify contractor HSE plans and monitor performance metrics.
• Ensure completion of mandatory training and maintain HSE improvement plans.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in HSE within large‑scale oil, gas or LNG projects.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams and drive cultural change.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, emergency response procedures and environmental standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with site leadership and contractors.
