Human Resources Coordinator – Full Time

About the role

The Human Resources Coordinator provides operational HR support across the Country Office and Area Offices in Mozambique. Reporting to the HR Manager, the role ensures the delivery of HR services, compliance with NRC policies and Mozambican labour legislation, and a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment processes, from workforce planning to hiring, in line with NRC procedures.
• Maintain accurate personnel records, contracts, and HR databases throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Organise onboarding logistics, travel, accommodation, work permits and visa support.
• Monitor probation periods, contract renewals, staff movements and separation processes.
• Support performance management, goal setting and employee development initiatives.
• Prepare HR reports, workforce statistics and data analysis for management decision‑making.
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and compliance.
• Promote diversity, equity, inclusion and staff wellbeing across HR practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Law or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive HR experience, preferably in NGOs or humanitarian settings.
• Strong knowledge of Mozambican labour legislation and HR standards.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese, both written and spoken.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience using HR Information Systems (HRIS) for employee records management.
• Competence in recruitment, onboarding and visa/work‑permit processes.
• Training facilitation and capacity‑building experience.
