Project Director for FCI Project

About the role

World Vision is seeking a senior leader to head the Faith and Community Initiative (FCI) in Mozambique. The Project Director will provide overall in‑country leadership, ensuring high‑quality, timely, and compliant delivery of the FCI program in line with global strategy and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the FCI country program, achieving goals, objectives, and results within budget and schedule.
• Develop country work plans and performance targets by adapting global guidelines to the local context.
• Maintain the 80/20 efficiency commitment and drive transition toward government and faith‑based ownership.
• Serve as the primary liaison with the U.S. Embassy, host‑government ministries, Christian Health Association, and other key partners.
• Oversee the FCI budget, monitor financial performance, and ensure compliance with donor and World Vision standards.
• Collaborate with the Technical Director and MEL Director for technical depth and evidence‑based decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level leadership experience in international development or humanitarian programs.
• Strong understanding of integrated health programming, including HIV, TB, malaria, maternal‑child health, and nutrition.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government ministries and faith‑based organizations to transition program ownership.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with fluency in English.
