S&I Coordinator – Seminary & Institute Programs

About the role

The S&I Coordinator leads Seminary and Institute (S&I) programs for youth and young adults in the Beira area, guiding spiritual growth and fostering a Christ‑centered learning environment. Reporting to the area/region director, the coordinator manages teachers, resources and curriculum to help participants deepen their conversion and prepare for temple blessings.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with stake presidencies, high council, ward leaders and teachers to set goals and increase youth participation in S&I programs.
• Assess and improve the learning experience for all students, including those with disabilities.
• Develop and deliver teacher training through discussions, micro‑training, observations and feedback.
• Prepare and monitor the annual operating budget, oversee financial performance and protect church assets.
• Adapt the S&I curriculum and create pacing guides to meet local needs.
• Teach S&I classes in accordance with “Teaching in the Savior’s Way.”
• Maintain a professional development plan and report progress to the area/region director.
• Supervise full‑time, part‑time staff and volunteers, and collaborate with Human Resources on hiring and promotion decisions.
• Manage program operations, information, reports and resources; travel as required.

Required profile

• Current and valid Temple Recommend and adherence to Church teachings on marriage and family.
• Strong personal testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Demonstrated leadership, teaching and training experience within a religious or educational setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, teachers and community members.
