Technical Director – FCI Project

About the role

The Technical Director will lead the technical implementation of the FCI country program in Mozambique, working closely with the Country Project Director and the Global Technical Director. This senior role ensures that health services delivered through government, Christian Health Associations and other faith‑based partners meet global standards and national policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and adapt the global technical strategy, standards, tools and protocols to the Mozambican context.
• Oversee planning, implementation and coordination of HIV, TB, malaria, maternal‑child health and nutrition services across a network of public and faith‑based facilities.
• Ensure compliance with FCI global policies, Ministry of Health guidelines and donor requirements.
• Provide technical leadership to improve service quality, referral systems and continuity of care.
• Manage relationships with the Ministry of Health, U.S. Embassy, district health teams and faith‑based health networks.
• Represent FCI in national and sub‑national technical working groups, meetings and conferences.
• Support partners in applying technical guidelines, operational plans and quality‑improvement approaches.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in health program management, preferably in HIV, TB, malaria or maternal‑child health.
• Proven ability to work with government ministries, international donors and faith‑based organizations.
• Strong understanding of national health policies and technical standards.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
