Cash Management Specialist

About the role

The Cash Management Specialist will support the treasury function across multiple legal entities, ensuring efficient cash handling, accurate forecasting, and compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements. You will work closely with senior cash managers and external banking partners.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily and monthly account balances for over 80 bank accounts across five currencies.
• Prepare and execute payment proposals, ensuring timely processing.
• Manage petty cash and perform related SOX controls.
• Estimate cash requirements and maintain accurate cash forecasts.
• Assist senior specialists with balance‑sheet reconciliations, monthly SOX responses, and bank reconciliations for all entities.
• Support the development and maintenance of cash‑management policies, procedures, and payment systems.
• Liaise with offshore and Mozambican banks for daily cash operations.
• Assist in insurance evaluation, guarantee control, and preparation of auditor responses.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial records and support ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Auditing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in treasury or cash management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and pay close attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Experience with SAP (a plus).
