About the role

The Internal Audit Field Manager (IA FM) is responsible for ensuring GiveDirectly delivers a gold‑standard product to donors and recipients. Working independently from program implementation teams, the IA FM leads a dedicated audit team across multiple project locations in Mozambique, synthesising KPI updates, risk‑trend reports and field performance insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of Associate Field Managers and Field Officers operating in various provinces.
• Conduct field‑based surveys, spot‑check risk monitoring and analyse risk trends to detect fraud and safeguarding violations.
• Own the end‑to‑end audit process, track team performance, and meet survey and case‑resolution targets.
• Report on field successes, challenges and KPI updates to country leadership.
• Foster team morale, culture, mentorship and professional development.
• Identify opportunities for risk mitigation and process improvement.
• Travel regularly to field locations while maintaining strict confidentiality and anonymity.

Required profile

• Strong judgment on operational issues and challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven personnel management experience.
