About the role
The Cost Administrator will support cost control operations within a leading Oil & Gas company. The role focuses on accurate invoice processing, validation against contracts and purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with commercial terms.
Key responsibilities
- Process and code invoices, validating accuracy against contracts, purchase orders, and agreed rates.
- Identify and escalate discrepancies or non‑compliant charges.
- Perform cost control checks to align with commercial terms.
- Support query resolution with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain audit trails and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to reporting on invoice status and processing timelines.
- Gather and share lessons learned related to cost administration.
- Uphold HSSE rules, company ethics, and confidentiality standards.
Required profile
- Engineering degree or Bachelor’s in Business Management or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control for major oil and gas projects.
- Experience in accounts payable and cost control environments is preferred.
- Fluent English (written and spoken); Portuguese is a plus.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage high transaction volumes under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Required skills
- SAP (or similar accounting system)
