Package Superintendent – Warm End

About the role

The Package Superintendent will lead the construction of the Warm End cryogenic heat exchanger/process train for a major on‑shore LNG project in Afungi, Mozambique. Reporting to senior project management, you will supervise a dedicated team and the EPC contractor to ensure safe, timely delivery of a fit‑for‑purpose facility.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and enforce high standards of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) across all site activities.
• Manage construction works in line with contract agreements, project specifications, and approved procedures.
• Coordinate with discipline superintendents, engineers, planners, authorities, contractors, and vendors to meet contract objectives.
• Analyse contractor and subcontractor performance, flag deviations, and drive mitigation actions.
• Contribute to lessons‑learned processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with other departments to ensure safe, on‑schedule execution and delivery of a compliant facility.
• Support assurance activities and verification documentation in line with project management standards.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably with an Oil & Gas construction background.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in LNG or large‑scale process equipment installation, pre‑commissioning, and preservation.
• Strong understanding of safety, environmental management, cost control, schedule adherence, quality, and reputational risk for complex projects.
