Partnerships and Business Development Manager

About the role

The Partnerships and Business Development Manager will lead Ipas Mozambique’s resource mobilisation, partnership building and business development activities. Reporting to the Country Director and sitting on the senior leadership team, the role is central to expanding and diversifying the organisation’s funding portfolio and strengthening its strategic positioning in the SRHR sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct an organisational review of risks and opportunities in the funding landscape and develop a business development strategy aligned with Ipas global priorities.
• Identify, pursue and secure funding from bilateral/multilateral donors, foundations, corporate partners and philanthropies.
• Track donor trends, RFPs and strategic priorities relevant to sexual and reproductive health and rights.
• Lead end‑to‑end proposal development, including concept notes, full proposals, budgets and donor negotiations.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure proposals are high quality, compliant and aligned with organisational goals.
• Develop donor‑facing materials such as briefs, presentations and reports in collaboration with communications colleagues.
• Cultivate, steward and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors according to written cultivation plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fundraising, resource mobilisation or business development within the non‑profit or international development sector.
• Strong understanding of the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) funding environment.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex proposal processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for donor engagement.
