About the role
The Partnerships and Business Development Manager will lead Ipas Mozambique’s resource mobilisation, partnership building and business development activities, aligning them with the country strategic plan and donor priorities. Reporting to the Country Director and sitting on the senior leadership team, the role will shape the organisation’s funding strategy and represent Ipas externally.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct an organisational review of funding risks and opportunities and develop a business development strategy aligned with Ipas global and country goals.
- Identify, pursue and secure funding from bilateral/multilateral donors, foundations, corporate partners and philanthropies.
- Track donor trends, RFPs and strategic priorities related to sexual and reproductive health and rights.
- Lead end‑to‑end proposal development, including concept notes, full proposals, budgets and donor negotiations.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure proposals are high quality, compliant and aligned with donor expectations.
- Develop donor‑facing materials such as briefs, presentations and reports in collaboration with communications.
- Cultivate, steward and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors according to written stewardship plans.
- Provide accurate pipeline reporting and analysis of funding opportunities.
Required profile
- Proven experience in fundraising, partnership development or business development within the non‑profit sector.
- Strong understanding of the sexual and reproductive health and rights landscape.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high‑quality proposals.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills to assess funding trends and risks.
