Senior Legal Advisor – Mozambique

About the role

Sasol is seeking a Senior Legal Advisor to join its Mozambique team. Reporting to the Senior Manager Legal, you will provide high‑quality legal support to ensure the company’s operations comply with local legislation and corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal counselling on a wide range of issues, including petroleum operations under Sasol licences.
• Support all Sasol departments with strategic legal advice, notably Supply Chain and Safety, Health & Environment (SHE).
• Lead matters related to exchange control and project funding.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Mozambican legislation across all business units.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written legal opinions.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts in both English and Portuguese as required.

Required profile

• University Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
• Minimum 9 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the energy or chemicals sector.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Senior Manager Legal while delivering independent advice.
