Lead Contracts Engineer – Field Operations & Logistics

About the role

The Lead Contracts Engineer for Field Operations (FOPS) and Logistics will drive contract practices, supervise a team of contract engineers and administrators, and ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards within the oil & gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce and maintain contract procedures in cooperation with partner entities.
• Supervise, train and manage workload of contract engineers and administrators.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date list of qualified contractors, suppliers and potential tenders for market studies.
• Coordinate with package managers to embed technical aspects into tender processes.
• Lead creation of commercial documents, CFT packages and participate in bid analysis and negotiations.
• Manage contract committee strategies, award validation and RTA evaluations.
• Support claim and lawsuit settlements with legal, insurance and finance teams.
• Monitor ongoing contract status, renewals, amendments and supplier performance.
• Ensure adherence to ethical, transparency, and safety standards, and actively participate in H3SE activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in a relevant field.
• 6‑10 years of experience in technical contracts, with at least 5 years in operations and logistics.
• Intermediate level competency in contracting and procurement.
• Advanced certification in C&P tools.
• Fluency in English.
