Country Finance Manager

About the role

The Country Finance Manager is responsible for implementing group financial policies and internal controls across the organization. The role oversees budgeting, cost control, capital expenditure, cash‑flow management, tax compliance and ensures that all internal and external reporting requirements are met. The manager leads the finance team on a daily basis to achieve the set objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement group financial policies and maintain a robust internal control environment.
• Manage the annual budgeting process, cost control, and capital expenditure approvals.
• Oversee treasury activities, including cash‑flow forecasting, forex hedging, excess cash investment and capital access.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and company secretarial requirements, including timely filing of tax returns.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS standards and ensure full reconciliation before release.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, address audit findings and close identified issues promptly.
• Monitor key financial indicators, manage credit exposure, approve customer credit limits and ensure timely receivables collection.
• Coordinate legal matters with legal counsel as needed.
• Reconcile daily stock movements, investigate abnormal losses and control month‑end stock counts.
• Enforce the group procurement policy and ensure proper documentation archiving.

Required profile

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a finance team.
• Proven experience in financial close processes and reporting under IFRS.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with tax, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in treasury management, cash‑flow forecasting and foreign‑exchange risk mitigation.
• Ability to work closely with auditors and resolve audit issues efficiently.
