Country Finance Manager

About the role

The Country Finance Manager is responsible for implementing group financial policies and internal controls across the country operation. This role leads the finance team, ensures compliance with statutory and accounting standards, and drives accurate financial reporting and treasury management.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company secretarial, statutory requirements and IFRS accounting standards.
• Oversee daily, weekly, monthly and yearly financial reporting, guaranteeing timely and accurate delivery.
• Manage treasury activities, including cash‑flow forecasting, foreign‑exchange hedging, excess cash investment and bank relationships.
• Maintain robust accounting policies, internal control environment and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Lead tax administration and ensure timely filing of returns in line with the Income Tax Act.
• Control credit exposure, approve customer credit limits and monitor receivables.
• Supervise stock reconciliation, investigate losses and manage month‑end stock counts.
• Implement and enforce group procurement policies.

Required profile

• Strong leadership with the ability to manage a finance team and meet set objectives.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and local statutory regulations.
• Proven experience in treasury, budgeting, cost control and capital expenditure management.
• Excellent analytical skills to monitor key financial indicators and mitigate risks.
• Ability to liaise effectively with banks, auditors, tax advisors and legal counsel.
