Director for Strategy and Sales

About the role

Austral Cimentos Sofala is seeking a Director for Strategy and Sales to lead market positioning, customer management, and revenue growth across the cement business.

Key responsibilities

• Cooperate with EAR Commercial Director and Area Directors to implement HM Group concepts and strategy.
• Prepare sales strategy focused on micro‑market positioning and customer management.
• Build strong relationships with customers through negotiation and partnerships.
• Manage sales contracts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Revise portfolio strategy and align it with production and market implementation.
• Develop product positioning and promotion tactics to improve ACS brand visibility.
• Analyze competition activities and implement actions to increase or defend market share.
• Prepare logistic strategy with focus on return‑freight opportunities.
• Oversee digital (Karibu, CRM) and commercial initiatives (NPS), assess risks and protect profitability.
• Prepare budgets and forecast revenue to meet financial targets.
• Collaborate with all ACS departments to align objectives with business strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressive commercial or sales leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Commercial Management; Master’s degree a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Portuguese proficiency highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Prior experience in the cement or building materials sector is highly desirable.
