Electrical Technician – Terminal Maintenance

About the role

The Electrical Technician ensures safe and efficient execution of all maintenance and project activities at the Matola terminal. This role supports business continuity by keeping terminal assets reliable and compliant with HSE, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot SCADA and DCS systems to maintain continuous terminal operations.
• Perform PLC fault diagnosis, read ladder logic, and coordinate corrective actions with OEMs or system integrators.
• Configure and maintain HMI panels for loading gantries, pump stations, and tank farm systems.
• Conduct control loop checks, instrument calibration, and update PLC/SCADA documentation (I/O lists, cause‑and‑effect diagrams, network drawings).
• Support integration of new automation equipment and participate in FAT and SAT activities.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on ATG instrumentation (Rosemount, Honeywell Enraf, Endress+Hauser, Emerson) including calibration and fault resolution.
• Maintain pumps, valves, and rotating equipment through seal replacement, bearing inspection, alignment, vibration checks, and lubrication.
• Perform minor pipe‑fitting and repairs in line with terminal safety standards.

Required profile

• Technical background in electrical, instrumentation, or automation maintenance.
• Experience working in an industrial or terminal environment.
• Strong adherence to HSE and quality procedures.
