Human Resources Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to lead and coordinate HR operations at a mid‑level within our African banking group. The role ensures efficient, integrated, and compliant delivery of HR administration, payroll, compensation, and performance management while acting as a bridge between HR, Finance, INSS, and business units.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to maintain data quality, reliability and workflow automation.
• Oversee payroll processing, compensation policies and performance management activities, ensuring fairness and alignment with corporate objectives.
• Analyse employee data (hires, mobility, exits, absenteeism) to identify trends, risks and opportunities for strategic decision‑making.
• Produce and present HR reports on headcount, costs, performance indicators and workforce metrics.
• Ensure compliance with labour legislation and internal document‑management standards.
• Support operational issue resolution, risk mitigation and continuous process improvement.
• Lead, develop and empower the HR team, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience in HR operations within a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of applicable labour legislation and HR governance.
• Proven ability to translate strategic HR guidelines into practical processes.
• Excellent analytical mindset with experience in HR data analysis and reporting.
