IT Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician joins the Maintenance team to ensure reliable operation of building facilities, power generation, and data centre infrastructure. Working under the Maintenance Supervisor, the role involves preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance, often outside regular office hours.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance schedules and conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment and installations.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and electro‑mechanical equipment, including generators, photovoltaic systems and data‑centre infrastructure.
• Carry out facilities work such as wiring, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and general building repairs.
• Participate in procurement of maintenance materials and supervise external contractors to ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide 24/7 on‑call emergency support, carry a company cell phone and travel as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, manage spare parts, tools and fuel, and comply with financial and reporting procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent; or medium‑level Electrical Technician qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in mechanical, electro‑mechanical and low‑voltage (<600 V) maintenance, preferably with diesel generators and renewable energy systems.
• Valid driver’s licence (category D advantageous) and fluency in Portuguese and English.
• Strong ability to read drawings, calculate electrical installations and write repair reports.
