LNG Tanks Field Construction Superintendent

About the role

We are looking for an experienced LNG Tanks Field Construction Superintendent to lead the construction of two LNG tanks and associated facilities on a major onshore LNG development in northern Mozambique. Reporting to the LNG Tanks Area Manager, you will ensure safe, high‑quality, and on‑time delivery of the EPC contractor’s works through to system hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Champion HSE leadership and ensure full compliance across all works.
• Coordinate and monitor all construction activities in the LNG tanks area, from execution to final hand‑over.
• Build strong relationships with the EPC contractor, managing routine activities and critical issues.
• Maintain a strong site presence, providing safety, quality, and construction oversight.
• Review progress, identify schedule risks, and propose mitigations.
• Support the Area Manager with overall site management and issue analysis.
• Prepare and monitor pre‑commissioning execution and transition to commissioning, including SIMOPS.
• Participate in peer assists, technical assurance reviews, and construction planning meetings.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline; advanced degree or professional qualifications preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years at superintendent level.
• At least 5 years on large greenfield projects with mandatory LNG tank experience (or GTL, petrochemical, refinery, gas processing).
• Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and quality success factors for complex projects.
