Lodge Manager – Luxury Island Resort

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Lodge Manager to lead the team at our exclusive resort on Benguerra Island, Mozambique. The role combines operational oversight with a strong focus on delivering personalised, world‑class guest experiences in a remote, pristine environment.

Key responsibilities

• Champion the guest experience philosophy, ensuring every touchpoint exceeds expectations.
• Design and oversee guest‑delight plans for repeat guests, stay‑over visitors and special occasions, creating tailored experiences.
• Coordinate daily operations across butlers, housekeeping, kitchen, activities and front‑of‑house teams to deliver seamless service.
• Conduct quality checks in guest areas and lead daily briefings with department heads.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive hospitality training calendar covering butler service, housekeeping excellence, bar and wine knowledge.
• Maintain operational and financial performance standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven senior professional in luxury hospitality with experience running a five‑star property independently in a remote location.
• Strong operational, financial and people‑management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build and mentor high‑performing teams through training and service innovation.

Required skills

• Butler service standards, including personalised dining and discreet guest interaction.
• Housekeeping excellence, covering room presentation, turn‑down service and ambience creation.
• Bar skills, such as cocktail preparation and wine knowledge.
