National Grocery Sales Manager – Retail

About the role

Premier FMCG is seeking a seasoned National Grocery Sales Manager to lead the retail grocery portfolio across Mozambique. You will be responsible for driving volume and value growth, managing key accounts, and ensuring profitable market share for core product ranges such as culinary, rice, instant, baking powder, and confectionery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute channel, customer, and brand strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and volume/value target achievement.
• Negotiate pricing, trade terms, and manage channel cost structures.
• Oversee key account management, debtor control, and returns/claims processes.
• Maintain strong customer, supplier, and cross‑functional relationships.
• Drive new product launches, NPD initiatives, and innovation projects.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of managerial experience in FMCG sales, including accounting exposure.
• University degree in Sales & Marketing or Business Management; Master’s degree preferred.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Portuguese is an advantage.
• Willingness to relocate to Mozambique and extensive travel within the region.
