Pharmacist – Full-time On-site Position

About the role

Medimoc Group is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join its on-site pharmacy in Maputo. The role is full-time and focuses on accurate medication dispensing, patient counseling, and compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and provide counseling on proper use, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Review, validate, and complete prescriptions in accordance with national regulations.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring safe storage and organization of pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain detailed records of dispensing activities and inventory movements.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and support patient-education initiatives.
• Uphold high standards of quality, safety, and ethical practice within the pharmacy.
• Participate in continuous improvement of pharmacy processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Professional pharmacy degree and a valid pharmacist license/registration.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing and record-keeping.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for patient counseling and teamwork.
• Ability to manage inventory and operate pharmacy management systems.
• Commitment to ethical practices, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
• Organizational and time-management skills for a busy on-site environment.
• Previous experience in community, hospital, or industrial pharmacy is an advantage.
• Proficiency in local languages and working knowledge of English preferred.
