Procurement Intern – Maritime Logistics

About the role

The Procurement Intern will support the Procurement department of a leading maritime logistics company, gaining practical experience in administrative, operational, financial and procurement activities. This role is based in Maputo City and offers exposure to global supply‑chain processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Procurement team in organizing physical processes and submitting documents for payment.
• Help manage internal files and documents, both physical and digital.
• Support logistical and operational activities of the department.
• Prepare reports and performance indicators (KPIs).
• Participate in process improvement and quality‑control projects.
• Assist in obtaining price quotations from suppliers.
• Monitor orders and delivery deadlines.
• Learn inventory control and material logistics support.
• Organize contracts and purchasing documents.
• Contribute to compliance and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in Portuguese and English.
• Effective teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
