Project Development Officer – Pemba

About the role

Acted is seeking a Project Development Officer to support its humanitarian and development programmes in Pemba, Mozambique. The role focuses on designing project proposals, managing grants, and ensuring effective communication with donors and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct context analysis and develop fundraising proposals aligned with Acted’s strategy.
• Manage grant contracts, ensure timely reporting and follow‑up on donor requirements.
• Coordinate internal teams and external partners to streamline project implementation.
• Maintain accurate filing systems and support external communication activities.
• Monitor partner performance and provide regular updates to senior management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Relations, Development, Political Science or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in project design, proposal writing and grants management.
• Familiarity with the humanitarian aid system and donor procedures.
• Strong oral and written communication, analytical and coordination abilities.
