Registered Nurse (PACU) – PRN

About the role

The Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) needs a flexible, per‑diem Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care. You will assess, plan, intervene, implement, and evaluate care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients recovering from anesthesia.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in developing patient‑care delivery systems, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Apply age‑specific standards for medication administration, sedation, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Incorporate cultural and developmental considerations into individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to educate patients and families and support discharge planning.
• Engage in performance‑improvement activities, data collection, and analysis to maintain quality outcomes.
• Exercise critical thinking to delegate tasks appropriately based on patient assessment and staff competence.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• 1–3 years recent RN experience, preferably in orthopedic, neurosurgical, or pain‑management settings.
• Current state RN license.
• Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
