Registered Nurse – PCU, Night Shift (Mon‑Fri, 36‑hour flex)

About the role

The Registered Nurse will work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a night shift schedule, providing high‑quality patient care from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Friday. This full‑time position offers a 36‑hour flexible workweek with no weekend duties, allowing for focused patient assessment, care planning, and discharge coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments within two hours of admission and document findings according to policy.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust individualized plans of care, including goals, interventions, and discharge planning.
• Administer medications and treatments following age‑specific standards and unit protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions, report significant changes, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide patient and family education on disease processes, wellness promotion, and discharge instructions.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and data collection for quality metrics.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure and eligibility to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated ability to apply the nursing process across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Strong critical‑thinking and delegation skills to ensure safe, efficient care delivery.
• Commitment to culturally competent, developmentally appropriate nursing practice.
