Resettlement Data and Compensation Supervisor (m/f)

About the role

The role leads the resettlement‑related data and compensation team for a major Oil & Gas project in Mozambique, ensuring accurate data management, effective compensation delivery and smooth coordination with implementation partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the resettlement‑related data and compensation team and supervise implementation partners for land and asset surveys, compensation agreements, payments and grievance resolution.
• Oversee the GIS and survey database, ensuring data quality control, proper storage, backup and integration into the project data management system.
• Manage the project data repository for compensation, resettlement and livelihood restoration, and prepare procedures, documents and SOWs for implementation partners.
• Coordinate field operations, including transport, HSE training, equipment provision and security escorts for field teams.
• Monitor and report progress through daily, weekly and monthly reports, conduct pre‑audit checks and ensure compliance with Mozambican laws and project policies.

Required profile

• University degree in Geography, Economics, Rural Development, Sociology, Social Sciences, Environmental Management or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in social geospatial data management and in engaging communities for resettlement‑related compensation programmes.
• Proven experience managing implementation partners, including technical and financial monitoring, for large‑scale land access programmes.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken) and strong communication and negotiation skills.
