Resettlement Data & Compensation Supervisor

About the role

The Resettlement Data & Compensation Supervisor will lead and supervise teams responsible for compensation, resettlement, and field data collection in Mozambique. Reporting to the Land Access Programs Manager, the role ensures accurate land and asset surveys, data integrity, and compliance with international and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise compensation and resettlement teams, including contractors and field data agents.
• Coordinate with support services, security, HSE, and other project units to ensure safe and efficient field logistics.
• Oversee land and asset surveys, verify data accuracy, and integrate results into the project data system.
• Prepare, verify, and archive compensation agreements, schedules, and PAP briefings.
• Manage GIS teams and ensure mapping products support compensation and relocation processes.
• Maintain dashboards and reporting tools to support management decision‑making.

Required profile

• University degree in Geography, Economics, Rural Development, Sociology, Social Sciences, Environmental Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in resettlement, compensation project delivery, or large‑scale land access programs.
• Proven experience managing teams and supervising implementing partners.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, SDE, FileMaker, Borealis or related GIS platforms.
• Experience establishing QA/QC procedures and conducting internal data audits.
• Ability to train team members and partners on data tools and procedures.
