Resettlement Livelihoods Supervisor (M/F)

About the role

Reporting to the Land Access Programs Manager and the VP of Socio‑economic Development, the Resettlement Livelihoods Supervisor leads the livelihoods team and coordinates implementation partners delivering agricultural, fisheries and diversified livelihood programs. The role includes recruiting, coaching and mentoring the team, preparing statements of work, and managing implementation schedules, budgets and performance reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the resettlement livelihoods team and oversee implementation partners delivering agricultural, fisheries and diversified livelihood programs.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, upskill and mentor the livelihoods team.
• Prepare and update Statements of Work (SOWs) for contracting implementation partners.
• Manage implementation of livelihood re‑establishment programs, including assessing household progress, ranking and justifying changes.
• Develop implementation schedules and budgets, monitor progress and ensure compliance.
• Manage contracts and large budgets with technical and financial monitoring.
• Serve as focal point between implementation partners, the project, government, affected households and the wider community.
• Support internal and external performance reviews and audits of resettlement livelihood activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Rural Development, Economics, Sociology or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years experience implementing livelihood re‑establishment programs in large‑scale rural resettlements.
• Proven experience managing contracts and large budgets with technical and financial monitoring.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain relations with stakeholders, communities, government, partners and NGOs.
• Adaptive leadership and strong interpersonal skills to coach and influence at all levels.
• Experience in community facilitation, conflict resolution and risk assessment.
• Good project management and analytical skills, detail‑oriented with report‑writing ability.
• Mozambican nationality; living locally is an advantage.
