Senior Community Investment Advisor

About the role

Our client, a leading oil and gas super‑major, is seeking a Senior Community Investment Advisor for its operations in Mozambique. This 12‑month contract role will lead the design and delivery of community investment programmes that drive long‑term socioeconomic development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategic frameworks for annual and long‑term community investment plans.
• Engage senior stakeholders, including EPC contractors and private‑sector partners, to co‑create investment priorities.
• Provide executive oversight of project implementation, approving scopes, budgets and timelines.
• Drive adoption of standardized processes and digital tools for performance tracking.
• Oversee vendor and partner performance, ensuring contractual compliance and value delivery.
• Review contractor community investment proposals and monitor programme execution.
• Establish governance mechanisms for risk management, corruption prevention and human‑rights considerations.
• Represent the company in high‑level forums and policy dialogues on sustainable development.
• Prepare executive‑level reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Mentor and develop junior advisors and project teams.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with large‑scale oil & gas projects and EPC contractor community investment programmes.
• Deep knowledge of Mozambique’s socioeconomic landscape and regulatory environment.
• Proven ability to shape strategy and influence policy at national or regional levels.
• Strong public speaking and stakeholder‑management skills in multicultural settings.
