Senior Director of Admissions

About the role

The Senior Director of Admissions leads the admissions team at The Chicago School, overseeing recruitment of certificate and degree‑seeking students across campus locations and online programs. This senior leadership position combines strategic planning, team management, and direct representation of the university in recruitment activities.

Key responsibilities

• Set and achieve new‑student enrollment goals for assigned programs.
• Implement university enrollment strategies and manage daily admissions operations.
• Produce, coordinate and analyze weekly, monthly and annual admissions reports and forecasts.
• Develop annual admission strategic plans, recruitment calendars and budgets in partnership with national leadership.
• Oversee the applicant file review process and ensure accurate reporting.
• Represent the university professionally in telephone, virtual and in‑person meetings and events.
• Build and maintain relationships with academic chairs, financial services, student services, community partners and alumni.
• Hire, mentor, train and evaluate Admissions Representatives and managers.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level leadership experience in higher‑education admissions or enrollment management.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding enrollment targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and travel domestically as required.
• Ability to analyze data and produce actionable reports.
