Space Applications Expert – Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a highly qualified Space Applications Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The expert will lead the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation services and applications, especially those based on Copernicus data, to address key climate and environmental priorities across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver Earth Observation services and applications using Copernicus data and products.
• Support the integration of EO solutions into early‑warning, climate, environmental, agricultural, water and biodiversity initiatives.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange and capacity building with African institutions and stakeholders.
• Contribute to policy dialogue and promote private‑sector engagement in the African space ecosystem.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related field.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services, remote sensing or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing or delivering EO services with Copernicus data in sectors such as early warning, climate, agriculture, water or biodiversity.
• Experience collaborating with African institutions is a plus.
