Technical Advisor – Maternal, Neonatal & Child Health (MNCH)

About the role

FHI 360 is looking for a Technical Advisor to lead Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH) activities for the EpiC project in Nampula and Zambezia, Mozambique. Based in Quelimane, the advisor will support government and partners to improve the quality and access of MNCH services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and supervision for MNCH service quality interventions at health facilities and in the community.
• Build capacity of government staff to conduct MNCH clinical supervision using approved standards and tools.
• Supervise and coordinate MNCH technical staff, ensuring alignment with provincial and district authorities.
• Serve as primary contact for provincial MNCH technical working groups.
• Analyze MNCH monitoring data, synthesize findings and recommend program adjustments.
• Contribute to work plans, quarterly and annual reports, and financial reporting required by the U.S. Department of State.

Required profile

• Experience in maternal, neonatal and child health program implementation.
• Proven ability to mentor and supervise health workers and community health providers.
• Strong knowledge of MNCH clinical standards and quality improvement processes.
• Experience working with government partners and multi‑sectoral teams.
