Business Banking Relationship Manager

About the role

The Business Banking Relationship Manager will plan, manage and monitor business development activities to deliver on approved operational plans efficiently. This role supports Absa’s growth strategy by building strong relationships with key industry stakeholders and driving new business acquisition.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional relationships through networking with industry leaders, regulators, policy makers and business partners.
• Champion and manage the business bulk acquisition strategic plan in line with Absa’s business unit strategy.
• Collect market intelligence daily by researching articles, publications, internet sources and word‑of‑mouth insights.
• Coach, mentor and manage team members to achieve business objectives and support colleague development.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant legislation, regulations and industry developments that may impact the business unit.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma in Business, Commerce or Management Studies (required).
