Cloud Business Development Manager

About the role

Huawei is seeking a Cloud Business Development Manager to lead the growth of its Huawei Cloud Stack (HCS) solutions in the Mozambique market. The role focuses on driving sales, building strategic relationships with government, financial institutions and large enterprises, and delivering cloud solutions that create measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve assigned sales targets for Huawei Cloud Stack solutions across Mozambique.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with government bodies, financial institutions and large enterprises.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing and payment collection.
• Collaborate with pre‑sales, product, delivery and partner teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop and nurture a local partner ecosystem to expand market coverage.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to shape effective business development strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in ICT, cloud computing or enterprise solution sales.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Proven B2B sales experience, preferably with government, financial services, telecom operators or large enterprises.
• Familiarity with the ICT market in Mozambique or Southern Africa.

Required skills

• Cloud computing concepts and enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Data centre, virtualization, server and storage technologies.
• Huawei Cloud Stack (HCS) and VMware solutions.
• Private, hybrid and enterprise cloud solution experience.
• Knowledge of leading cloud vendors such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Dell Technologies and HPE.
