Communications Associate – NPSA-6

About the role

The Communications Associate will support UN Women’s visibility in Cabo Delgado by creating high‑quality communication products, capturing field stories, and managing digital content to showcase humanitarian and gender‑equality interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and produce multimedia content (graphics, photos, videos, infographics) for reports, newsletters, social media and donor communications.
• Document programme results, beneficiary stories and lessons learned, ensuring compliance with UN Women branding and donor visibility standards.
• Maintain and update the Country Office’s website and social media platforms, monitor audience engagement and compile basic performance data.
• Provide logistical and communications support for advocacy events, press releases, media engagements and public briefings.

Required profile

• Strong technical ability to independently produce multimedia content for multiple platforms.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, PSEA, confidentiality and informed‑consent requirements for field documentation.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a humanitarian context.
