Construction Estimator

About the role

Utopia is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join its project team focused on boutique hospitality assets. The role is fully remote and involves preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, and supporting procurement and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct analysis to estimate materials, machinery, equipment and labour costs for construction projects.
• Develop bills of quantities for construction activities.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and manage project budgets.
• Analyze project costs and deliver accurate reports and updates.
• Support procurement processes and contract administration.
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, engineers, FF&E procurement team and client representatives.
• Focus on detailed cost estimations (AACE Class 3 & 2) for 80% of time and early‑stage estimations (AACE Class 5 & 4) for the remaining 20%.

Required profile

• Fluent in English with excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Detail‑oriented, punctual and motivated to deliver accurate, timely results.
• Ability to work independently on day‑to‑day tasks and coordinate with the project team when needed.
• Full‑time availability (up to 40 hours per week) in a remote setting.
