Country Finance Manager

About the role

The Country Finance Manager is responsible for implementing group financial policies and internal controls across the country operation. The role oversees budgeting, cash‑flow management, tax compliance, and financial reporting while leading the local finance team to meet strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company secretarial, statutory, and accounting standards, including IFRS.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and annual financial statements and reports on schedule.
• Oversee treasury activities: cash‑flow forecasting, foreign‑exchange hedging, excess cash investment, and bank relationships.
• Monitor loan covenants, recommend dividend policy, and manage capital‑expenditure approvals.
• Maintain accounting policies, internal control environment, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Track key financial indicators, manage risks, and implement mitigation measures.
• Administer tax filings in line with the Income Tax Act, working with tax advisors and the group tax department.
• Review and approve credit limits, manage receivables, and ensure timely collections.
• Coordinate legal matters with counsel as needed.
• Reconcile daily stock movements, investigate losses, and control month‑end stock counts.
• Enforce the group procurement policy within the country.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance management within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, treasury operations, tax compliance and audit processes.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a finance team.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
