Driver – Transport Employees and Goods

About the role

SGS Technologies is seeking reliable drivers based in Maputo and Tete to provide safe and efficient transportation for employees, visitors, company assets, documents and goods. The role supports both administrative and field operations while ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly, transporting personnel, equipment and supplies as required.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes to minimise travel time and fuel consumption.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, monitor fuel, oil, tyre pressure and report any defects or incidents immediately.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, basic upkeep and ensure all documentation, licences and insurance are up‑to‑date.
• Keep accurate logs of mileage, fuel usage and servicing, and support administrative tasks such as document delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of professional driving experience.
• Valid professional driving licence appropriate for the vehicle (CE) with public service endorsement (G).
• Good knowledge of local routes, traffic regulations and basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and during extended hours or shift work.
