EdTech & IT Officer – Digital Learning Support

About the role

The EdTech & IT Officer will support a UNICEF‑funded digital learning programme that spans Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Gaza and Maputo provinces. Working across roughly 50 e‑learning centres, the officer ensures that all technology components function reliably to keep learning uninterrupted in low‑connectivity and crisis‑affected settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical troubleshooting and first‑line support for devices, platforms, connectivity solutions and solar‑powered systems at e‑learning centres.
• Maintain operational uptime of digital tools such as Learning Passport and Maza, coordinating closely with Digital Learning Coaches and programme teams.
• Implement and monitor the rollout of the digital learning programme, ensuring alignment with donor (UNICEF) and government priorities.
• Comply with Street Child policies, safeguarding standards and reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with partners, schools and local authorities to resolve technical issues and optimise the learning environment.

Required skills

• Experience with Learning Passport platform.
• Familiarity with Maza digital learning tool.
• Knowledge of e‑learning platforms and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage solar‑powered hardware and connectivity solutions in remote settings.
